Pricing in this category is rarely one number — it’s a per-channel or per-account rate multiplied by however many profiles you’re running, plus whatever’s gated to a higher tier. Here’s what we’ve verified directly from each vendor’s pricing page.
Buffer
Free: $0, 3 channels. Essentials: $6/channel/mo ($5 annual). Team: $12/channel/mo ($10 annual) — approval workflows start here. 10 channels on Essentials annual = $50/mo.
Later
Starter: $25/mo, 1 social set = 8 profiles, 1 user, 30 posts/profile/mo. Growth: $50/mo, 2 sets/16 profiles, 2 users, 180 posts/profile — approvals and inbox start here. Scale: $110/mo, 6 sets/48 profiles, 4 users, unlimited posts.
Publer
Free: $0, 3 accounts (no X). Professional: $5/mo base + $4 per extra account + $2 per extra member. Business: $10/mo base + $7/account + $3/member — adds analytics, best-time-to-post, competitor analysis. Every 10th account and member is free.
RecurPost
Starter: $9/mo, 2 profiles. Personal: $25/mo, 5 profiles. Agency: $79/mo, 20 profiles + 3 users — extra profile $4/mo, extra seat $20/mo on any plan. X/Twitter included, with a wallet covering X’s per-post URL fee. (Disclosure: published by the same team as this site.)
Watch for pricing gotchas
CoSchedule bills X/Twitter as a separate $8/profile/mo line item on top of its base plan — easy to miss when comparing headline prices. Pallyy flips the usual model: a single $25/mo Pro plan covers up to 11 accounts in one set, cheaper per-account than most competitors at that scale, but multi-user access doesn’t unlock until Agency at $99/mo.
